Check when your sewing machine was made - (beta version)
This page is in an early stage, but I will improve and build it... If you have anything you’d like to add, things that can be improved, or something you think is good.
BERNINA 1950 - 2007
The serial numbers on BERNINA sewing machines all have 8 digits (7 on some... models). They start with 10 up to 47, or 50 up to 60.
BERNINA 2008 ->
From 2008, BERNINA sewing machines have a “Code”. The first two digits are the production year and the last two are the month.
PFAFF 1862 - 1978
PFAFF started with serial number “1” in 1862, and this increased to the last serial number “31153175” in 1978.
Husqvarna 1925 - 1964
Husqvarna had serial numbers “764500” in 1925 up to “1731259” in 1948... From 1948 to 1964 it was the first letter in the serial number that mattered.
Elna 1960 - 1982
From 1960–1963 Elna used the first two digits in the serial number. After 1963 they added a letter first in the serial number.
Elna 1960 - 1982
The first letter in the serial number indicates the year, and the first two digits are the week the sewing machine was produced.
