Booking of repair/restoration of vintage sewing machines/overlocks
- Fill out one form per machine.
- Fill in ALL fields in the form! The serial number is the machine’s “personal ID” and part of our quality assurance.
Registrations without a serial number will not be called in. See here where to find the serial number? - For our assessment/execution, we need as much relevant information as possible about the problem and the machine’s history (previous services and any repair attempts, and by whom).
- Any questions regarding repair/price, etc. will not be answered before we have received/assessed the machine.
- Submitted registration is confirmed with an SMS to the mobile number you registered.
- After the estimated waiting time, you will receive a call-in by SMS with 3 alternative delivery days.
- If none of the days suit you, we can agree on a postponement.
- Machines that neither show up nor arrange a postponement will not be called in again.
- The estimated waiting time on the website is only an approximate calculation, NOT A PROMISE!
- When the machine is finished, you will be notified by SMS and then have 2 weeks to collect the machine.
Current terms and conditions
Service/repairs are carried out in accordance with the Craftsman Act and the Consumer Purchase Act.

Call-in and delivery
Call-in is sent by SMS
The machine is delivered in Strømmen during our visiting hours: Tuesday – Thursday 11:00 – 16:00
Outside opening hours, we only accept visits by appointment.
We no longer accept machines by mail.
Contact us if you wish to arrange a postponement.
For machines that do not show up and for which no postponement has been arranged, the booking will be cancelled. -
Service, repair, or restoration.
We no longer perform regular maintenance service on sewing machines.

Professional service/repair
To carry out professional/competent troubleshooting and any repairs, the machine must always be cleaned and lubricated (service).
Our goal is to get as much as possible out of the machine’s potential based on its condition/wear. We are not responsible for unknown/hidden faults/damage discovered during service/repair, or new issues that arise after delivery. However, we offer a 3-month warranty on our own work and go to great lengths to fix anything that arises with the machine during this period. -
Quality assurance and documentation
Each service and repair is carried out according to the service manual and always concludes with thorough test sewing. The final test swatch attached under the presser foot is our documentation of the machine’s condition at delivery.

Predictable pricing and payment

If the total price exceeds NOK 3000,- we always call to provide a price estimate.
We always contact you to provide a price estimate if the repair will exceed the maximum price.
If you then choose not to proceed with the repair, the machine must be collected within 2 weeks against an inspection fee of NOK 500,-. Alternatively, the inspection can be paid by leaving the machine as a donor machine. After 2 weeks, unresolved assignments or uncollected machines are considered our donor machines. -
Complaints and related deadlines
After completion notice, you have 2 weeks to collect the machine.
You are required to inspect the machine (work performed) within 2 weeks after delivery and notify us immediately if you believe the work has been inadequately performed.
The final complaint deadline for work performed is 3 months.
The final deadline for replaced spare parts is 2 years.
After a complaint has been submitted, you have 2 weeks to return the machine for inspection and any rectification. If the inspection does not reveal a defect related to the service/repair performed, an inspection fee of NOK 500,- will apply. -
